The 2026 price list
Since 2025 the Arc de Triomphe has used seasonal pricing — a first among French national monuments. The price therefore depends on the date of your visit, not just on who you are.
| Category | April – September | October – March |
|---|---|---|
| Full price (26 and over) | €22 (€16 on Wednesdays) | €16 |
| EU residents aged 18-25 | Free | Free |

The Wednesday trick: in high season, the full price drops to €16 every Wednesday — a €6 saving, roughly the price of a café terrace coffee on the Champs. If your schedule is flexible, it is the best-value day of the summer.
Standard ticket, skip-the-line or combo: the comparison
| Ticket | Indicative price | What it includes | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Timed ticket online (Headout) | from €16 | Terrace + exhibitions, reserved time slot, mobile ticket | The default choice: you skip the purchase queue |
| Ticket + audio guide | ~€39 | Rooftop entry + multilingual audio commentary | First visit, Napoleonic history enthusiasts |
| Combo Arc + Seine cruise | ~€31 | Rooftop + 1-hour cruise departing near the Eiffel Tower | Around 15% off two Paris essentials |
| Combo Arc + guided Eiffel Tower | ~€40 | Two Paris panoramas on one booking | 2-3 day stays |
| Ticket desk on site | €16–22 | Same ticket, no time slot | Low season only — the queue can top 45 min in summer |
Partner ticket prices vary by date; the calendar alongside shows the exact price for your day. To understand what "skip-the-line" really means here, read our skip-the-line ticket page.
What the ticket includes (and what it doesn't)
- Included: access to the panoramic terrace at 50 m, the permanent exhibition hall in the attic, and the climb up the 284-step staircase.
- Included without any ticket: the forecourt and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, freely reached via the underpass, plus the flame-rekindling ceremony every evening at 6:30pm.
- Not included: the audio guide (paid option), and there is no cloakroom or left luggage — bags limited to 40 × 40 × 20 cm.
Passes and cards: when do they pay off?
The Arc de Triomphe is included in the Paris Museum Pass (unlimited monuments and museums over 2, 4 or 6 days) and in most Paris city passes. The maths is simple: the 2-day pass pays for itself from three paid monuments onwards. If the Arc is your only paid climb of the trip — because you are under 26 or visiting on a winter first Sunday — the single ticket is unbeatable: it costs nothing.
Cancellation, refunds, resale
Timed tickets sold by our partner Headout can be cancelled free of charge on most options (usually up to 24 hours before your slot — check the terms shown before payment). The official ticket office of the Centre des monuments nationaux applies its own conditions. If the monument closes unexpectedly (ceremony, weather, security), tickets are refunded or rebooked.
Beware of unauthorised resellers: never buy a "paper" ticket offered near the monument. Tickets are tied to a name and a time slot; an already-scanned ticket will leave you standing at the bottom of the 284 steps.

The Centre des monuments nationaux introduced seasonal pricing to spread visitor numbers: €22 full price during the busiest months, €16 the rest of the year.
